Dot Donnelly Service Award
Purpose
The Colonies Zone Dorothy Donnelly Service Award recognizes and honors USMS members who exemplify Dot’s spirit and love of the sport by participating in and working to further Masters Swimming in their LMSC and the Colonies Zone.
This award is separate from the similarly named national award presented by the USMS Recognition & Awards Committee.
Selection
Any USMS member registered in the Colonies Zone may nominate another Colonies Zone member by filling out a form detailing the nominee’s accomplishments and contributions. The awardee(s) will be selected by a committee appointed by the zone chair or by a vote of representatives from each of the zone’s constituent LMSCs.
Presentation
The Colonies Zone leadership presents this award annually, when possible, on behalf of its 10 constituent LMSCs at the Colonies Zone annual meeting or at a Colonies Zone championship meet.
